This is a good design and I really enjoyed making it. The input to output ratios I achieved are listed below:
    1st gear - 15:1
    2nd gear - 9:1
    3rd gear - 5:1
    4th gear - 3:1
    5th gear - 2:1
    6th gear - 1:1
    7th gear - 1:2
    8th gear - 1:3

    Thanks, Charbel!
Have already built and installed into my truck! First 4 gears work very nice! The highest torgue can move my truck!
But the 5-8th gears are for the race car))

It might be a bit picky, but I'm counting 3 technic bushes (3713) instead of 2 :)
Independently, really nice work. Thx for sharing with us.

wait... I think that is too much of change in gear ratios. the last gear is 45times faster than the first gear.....

I'm using the transmission to drive a diy music box with different speeds.
Therefore I did some gear ratio modifications by replacing 12:20 with 14:18 (I cheated by using 3D-printed parts) and 8:24 with 12:20 gear pairs.
This gives me the following ratios:
      7/25 (0.28), 9/25 (0.36), 7/15 (0.47), 3/5 (0.6), 7/9 (0.78), 1, 35/27 (1.3), 5/3 (1.67)

To change the rear 8:24 you have to free some space for installing the 12 tooth gear (sorry, weird image size):

So I replaced and rearranged some parts:

I don't know if it helps you or other people finding the perfect gear ratios, but I thought it's worth mentioning :)

That's really interesting and well detailed. I might try to build with some 3D printed parts !
