LIKES

The main idea of the Tracked Pickup I took from the set 42069, also its doors. Some of the design came from the new 42099 4x4 Crawler.

Functions:

Butterfly-wing doors

Front bumper winch

2-speed gearbox and V4 engine

HOG steering on the top of the roof

    Hey BamaN,
I really like this moc! I can’t wait to get my hands on 42094 (already ordered) to rebuild your moc! It’s just awesome..
Thank You for sharing with us!

Thank you for creating and sharing these build instructions. I like the creativity in this alt-build design. I ended up making a few small modifications to make the model somewhat more rigid for the kids to play with it and also detached the gearbox/engine for a smoother ride while playing. Nevertheless a very nice build, good features!

    Hello !
Does it contains only the 42094 model's parts ?
    • 4 months, 1 week ago BamaN Level 13 Designed this MOC
Yes! And some spare parts from this set.
      • 4 months, 1 week ago MOC_Hunter Level 5
So I need only one set ? Or I need more pieces which I have to purchase separately ?
        • 4 months, 1 week ago LUX_66_ Level 11 MOC Designer
Yes, always when it says at the end: This MOC is an Alternate Build of (Set), then you can build it with the parts in this set. So if you have the Tracked Loader, and since this moc has free instructions you are good to go!

I've built this MOC, it looks good but it has it's faults, however that has been mention before, cool MOC nonetheless, good job!!!

I really like model looking. Looks very good, really. Reminds me set 42069.
    What I like:
    - looking
    - gearbox included
    - good steering
    - v4 engine

    What I don't like:
    - model uses spare parts (!!!!)
    - loose tracks
    - stability
    - building instructions (pdf) has too many parts per steps, not so much submodels, and sometimes wrong step order
    - too many useful leftover parts which you could use to make better stability or something else

    Final rate: 6/10

      Thanks for your feedback.

I know about some problems of the model and, unfortunately, I can not fix it.
I did the instruction for the first time, so there can be many mistakes in it.

Used spare parts are easy to fix. I see you used them for decorations, like green light, red points on hook, and extending for "frame"(?). Remove them, there are not important. Also you have so much useful leftover parts - you can use them to upgrade your model. Just try, don't give up

How do i open LXF file? I can't get it to open with LDD.
But anyways, thanks for the MOC!
    • 8 months, 4 weeks ago PotterHead009 Level 7 MOC Designer
Nevermind, just had to move the file into the LXF folder.
      Thanks for the MOC!

Sorry for LXF file in these days i try to do PDF instruction. What a problem with LXF?
        • 8 months, 3 weeks ago PotterHead009 Level 7 MOC Designer
          About that...
The LXF instructions are confusing, I have to take apart the entire model to fit the pieces because of the HTML's nonsense generation.
I will try to finish it today though.
The problem was when I tried to open it directly, it gave a "Try to reinstall LDD" error. All I had to do was move the LXF file into LDD's model folder.
          Thanks!

            I feel dumb now...
If only I had read the description... :(

It's happens, for you it's just more experience. : )
              • 8 months, 3 weeks ago PotterHead009 Level 7 MOC Designer
                Thank you!
I finished the model too, it's great, but the engine and transmission has problems because of the tracks.
                • 8 months, 3 weeks ago BamaN Level 13 Designed this MOC
Yes, I know, I just can't fix this problem. The only solution is to take the Large Sprocket Wheel and replace the tracks instead.
So with wheels this model looks awesome too.
                  • 5 months ago PotterHead009 Level 7 MOC Designer
I know it's been 4 months, but I've just recently built the model again.
It's not that the tracks were designed poorly, it's just about what surface you drive the truck on.
I found that the tracks work better on a rougher surface(like carpet) than a smoother surface(like a table) because the tracks get more traction that way.

I agree with you, on low gear works nice but on high gear is not as smooth
