Docking Bay 327 was full so the Millennium Falcon was diverted to Docking Bay 723... ;)

When I returned from my Lego dark age I hadn't touched a Lego brick in +-16 years. The Millennium Falcon (7965) was one of the first sets i purchased when I got back into Lego and it blew my mind. Having always been a Star Wars fan (and missing out on the (first) UCS Millennium Falcon during my dark age) this was the next best thing in my eyes. It didn't take me long to decide on building it a proper home and after designing it in LDD and ordering all the necessary parts, this is what I came up with.

Overview on the dining room table...

Luke trying to disconnect the fuel lines.
(Yes, that's Luke wearing Leia's minifigure torso.. I messed them up at the time and didn't notice till it was too late.)

Luke is still struggling to get the fuel line disconnected...

...when he is spotted by an Imperial Officer.

Due to the limited display area it isn't exactly the correct scale, but I am still happy with the results. This is the Docking Bay where it was supposed to go (and it fit!). So here it is in all it's displaying glory:

While building I also tried to make sure the Falcon could actually enter through the Stargate, but I wasn't able to verify until I was pretty much near the end of the build. As it turns out, I nailed it, but I wouldn't want to pilot it through that narrow gate. :)
