    Two questions:
    1)  If I have brand new #42054 kit in box, should I build it first and then modfiy it to r/c afterwards or should I just go straight to r/c by following your instructions?
    2) What are the extra parts needed on top of the basic #42054 kit ?

Hello, good afternoon I have the set: 42054 of lego technich (CLAAS XERION 5000 trac vc LEGO) already assembled with the official manual, but I would like to make the changes of your manual. Would it be necessary to disassemble it completely to modify it? What parts would you need to buy?

I just finished building this MOC & love it. The instructions are quite good (you have to look here and there where pins are supposed to go) but hey it's hardly a model a 7 year old is going to build.
Well worth the money as far as I am concerned. It's more a complete rebuild of the whole set while keeping the looks than a simple mod.

can you still change steering modes?

and is there a way to see just the pieces for this mod
    • 10 months, 1 week ago Level 16 Designed this MOC DESIGNER
Yes, you can change the steering mod and please use the function "compare Moc with anouther" to see the parts. regards

Mission completed! Yesterday I finished this MOC! Most important: It works! I only found minor errors in the instructions, a little annoying is the fact that sometimes you have to study the instructions very very carefully to identify where to place what brick. That takes longer than the building itsself. Anyway, that are not Lego instructions for age 3+ and its ok. I had a lot of fun, I am overwhelmed about the complexity of the mechanics squeezed in a minimum volume. I replaced the 2 IR receivers by an state of the art Sbrick, fixed the battery box better and thats it! Thanks for the instructions, even my wife likes the MOC, important for the acceptance of that hobby. Best regards from Madrid.

Hallo, thank you for the nice MOC an the good instructions.

Has nobody problems with the steering on page 17? I have an issue with the movement of the Gear Rack 1 x 13 (64781) an the Liftarm/Beam 1 x 13. They can't follow the movement of the servo drive at 90 degrees. And there is not enough space for them  to move inwards. They are both stuck.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Hello, can I replace the IR receivers by SBricks? Is this an option in the instruction?
    • 1 year, 3 months ago Level 16 Designed this MOC DESIGNER
hello, of course you can also use a sbricvk. We have not portrayed this possibility in our instructions. they only need an additional PF cable. best regards

As  I have already got the Claas. Is there a list of the parts needed just for the conversion or will I have to go through the entire  parts list to find what is needed. Thanks

First of all I must congratulate you all on a great model and instructions. Just finished building it and I would rate it as "very challenging" - i.e. very satisfying! Although it looks like the Lego model, under the bonnet (as it were) it is a whole new model. Just a few niggles. I understand why you issued the instructions (and parts list) as an Excel file. But this is difficult to magnify for clarity. Transfeering the Excel file to PDF document partly works, but you need to change the format to landscape before creating the PDF file. Also, the page breaks in the PDF can split some pages in two; so you still need the Excel file as well. I only found 1 error. In building the rear crane the base rotation gear wheel is shown as part 32270. This gear does not engage with the rotating base gear. Part 94925 does fit perfectly, however!
Is it worth the money? Only the buyer can assess that, but really you are buying a great model. The Lego version is good, but this is something else again. Look forward to building the attachments and trailers for this model.

Great design so thanks for that. I just purchased the instructions yesterday however there is a confusion. I've emailed and received a response from Nadine however she wasn't quite sure and sent an email to designer.  My confusion is that instructions are having 2x Lego IR Receivers 58123a listed on the bricklist modifcation list and they are missing 2x Lego Remote Controllers 6034989 from the list. When I asked how am I supposed to control the Tractor she replied back using the s-brick. If I have to use the s-brick why there are the 2x Lego IR Receivers for?

Now, Can I skip s-brick and use the listed 2x Lego Receivers and buy the 2x Lego remote controllers 6034989 and use these instead? Just like I would operate Volvo 42030? It's easier for both myself and my sons to play with? cheers.

Hello! I purchased your instructions, I think price if fair because your design is awesome! I finished the MOC but made a mistake. Front wheels go forward but rear wheels go backwards. Any idea what I may have done wrong? Is it something simple like wrong connection to RC or a bigger mistake like wrong gear setup? I figured I'd ask you first before disassembling and re-assembling from zero. It took me about 20 hours to build so I hope it's nothing super major.

hello, I imagine you have a differential built in the wrong way?
      • 1 year, 8 months ago mrazjava Level 7
Thank you for responding. Indeed, diferential (part 62821) on front wheels was installed wrong way (there are two ways to put it). It's a mistake I made VERY EARLY on in the instructions and only caught it at the end. Fortunately, I did not have to take the whole model apart. I was able to fix it in about 1 hour by disassembling few parts to get into the differential.

If I build model B front plow, will the remote function open it?

Anyway, great instructions. Well worth the money.

This is a great RC version of the Xerion 5000, thankyou Efferman for the design and thankyou for the instructions. Have not built any attachments yet, but I did build MajklSpajkl’s Tractor Dump Trailer MOC, which looks great with this. The only issue I had with the MOC is the transfer of drive power from the large motor via ‘Technic Gear 8 Tooth [Reinforced]’, even using a speed remote control’ I kept striping these gears (especially towing the aforementioned trailer). Need to consider this part of the design a little more. Still 9/10 overall.
    PS. Added some photos.

Thanks for making this instruction. Is there any modification/improvements from the original LXFs?
  • 2 years, 2 months ago asiadream Level 13
You sell it for 24.9 euros, really?
    • 2 years, 2 months ago Level 16 Designed this MOC DESIGNER
hello, if the instructions are very difficult must be sold too expensive. It took several days to create a step-by-step guide. regards
      • 2 years, 2 months ago syphoon Level 14
24.9 euros seems too much to me as well, even the instructions are high quality and may take several days to create. That's my opinion... however, it's up to the designer to choose the right price. For this price, I'll skip it. But nevertheless thanks for making them!
